A Ride through Circle C

We had a beautiful day for biking in Austin, I decided to cruise around through Circle C in southwest Austin. This are is good for biking because it has wide, smooth street with relatively little traffic. I spent a little time in the wind on Highway 45 and Loop 1. One interesting note is that I spent a lot of time on fairly new streets that didn’t show up on my City Navigator 2008 map running on my Garmin 60CSx. Look closely at my Google Map and there is a street or two that doesn’t show up as well.

I finished up with a quick lap around the Veloway before I went home. There were lots of families out, riding bikes and roller blades. The trip came in just below 21 miles.
